Class of 1994

On Saturday, Easter Eve, a small group of LCS alumni gathered at a local restaurant to catch up with each other fifteen years after graduation. We had a good turnout. Nine classmates, six significant others. Yes, that is a good turnout. Our graduating class was 18. Subtract the 4 Japanese students I didn't expect to attend. Subtract the 2 classmates that attended college their senior year, also not expected to attend. That gives you 12. So, 9 out of 12, pretty good. We had also gotten together for a 5-year and a 10-year reunion. I think everyone had a good time. It was great to see everyone.

Wayne's World

i won't post too many fotos on this post for fear of copyright infringement. ;) i had a wonderful evening with old hop coworkers (of whom, i'm sure i was the oldest). we gathered at wayne's Christmas village, had a very competitive scavenger hunt, marveled at wayne's decorations, and laughed like i hadn't in ages. good times.

New Year's Eve

looking forward to the new year's eve get together at my parents' home. bummer though - the out of town friends we were expecting can't come on account of the winter weather in their neck of the woods. i'm sure we'll still have fun munching and playing games. can't believe how fast Christmas week went. dan & amy flew home to texas today. miss them already.

Visiting Fun

we've been having a wonderful week with lots of visiting, eating, catching up, and announcing (see the ticker at right). this is the longest we've waited to announce. just seemed like fun to do it at Christmas time. my mom did find out a week early, but she kept our secret, too. 

so far we've celebrated Christmas at my parents' with my family, at my aunt's with my dad's extended family, and at steve's mom's with his family. last nite i went to a friend's house and had a blast with the old timers from the hop.

today we are headed to my parents' for lunch, then back to steve's mom's for a little birthday celebration for elle mae. just cake and ice cream. tomorrow she will be three years old. she is SO excited. we've been snapping some fotos, but i'm not very motivated to get them up right now. looking forward to lotsa gaming on nye.

A Reunion Of Sorts

we went to a "fair" one time up near our mountain home. let's just say it was less than stellar. it was a total carnie. ick. 

tonite we went to the fair, and what a difference. we ran into so many friends. i just had a wonderful time. some of the friends & family we chatted with:

it seemed like more. i guess it's just so different than being up north, running into not one soul i know in an entire week (or month!) of running around.

Ceidleigh & Alliyah

on sunday we went down to visit baby alliyah. what a cutie! she looked so beautiful and healthy, only 1 1/2 days old. the children were disappointed - not allowed to see her, hospital policy. we'll just have to go down and visit again at the house! 

after my visit with alliyah & family, we headed over to the apple store to take ceidleigh for a checkup. the genius at the bar did some magic keystrokes and *voila* her dvd burner now works. 

Alliyah Grace

big news, everyone!!! baby alliyah arrived this morning, weighing in at 7 lbs, 11 oz. what a cutie! we are so excited to meet her. congratulations, steve & julie h!

We Go Way Back

we were able to visit with our good friends, kyle & sue. i first met kyle when i was around angela's age.

HoP Heritage

at the reception a hop foto emerged. woohoooo! this foto has 3 spouses in it who have not worked at the hop, but all of the rest have. the only people i could think of missing from the foto who were at the wedding were: aunt sonya, aunt doris, rainey, & aunt carla. ~bec.
ps/sorry, when i make the fotos bigger tonite, they pixelate. and i hate that. so, i'm keeping it small for now til i can check with my in-house guru.
